Cows adjust to life in a Covid world, by eating the gaindha haars and malas dropped by devotees and families of those who died during the Covid second wave. As firewood was not available in crematoria, maybe families had to let go of their loved ones' bodies in the Yamuna and Ganga rivers. Cows do the needful with the leftover marigold garlands from prayers and ceremonies held on the river's banks. They also scavenge for leftovers of other kinds such as coconuts and mithai from offerings and prayers. Sickly boney hungry moo cows eat gaindha malas along the Jamna nadi's banks in Delhi. Even slum kids scavenge alongside them. Sad to see cows and kids scavenging together. The kids look for coins and anything sellable and re-usable, while the cows look for anything eatable.
