A local flower vendor prepares fresh marigold garlands, known as Genda Phool, at a roadside stall in an urban Indian market. Seated beside stacks of styrofoam boxes, the vendor carefully strings together orange and yellow marigold flowers (Tagetes spp.) using traditional garland-making techniques. Marigold garlands are widely used across India for Hindu religious ceremonies, temple offerings, festivals, weddings, and decorative purposes.
