Tharu cultural museum and research centre in Nepal displays Tharu indigenous cultural murals of man and different paintings that depict the life, culture, tradition of Tharu and their ancient heritage.It also displays many artefacts of Tharu life and the local life of Tharu in the ancient days. Weapons, baskets and murals of Tharu men and women are kept at the museum. Tharu Museum is a home to one of the finest collections of the heritage in Nepal. It was established in 2005 in order to conserve and uplift Tharu typical cultures, traditions, indigenous skill, lifestyle and their ancient heritage.
