Aerial view of the scenery around the magnificent Pangong lake in Ladakh, India. The only words that seem to do justice to the timeless beauty of the Pangong Lake, are 'Paradise on Earth'. With hues that range from a brilliant turquoise to a deep blue, this shimmering patch of sky on land is the highest salt water lake in Asia. Pangong lake is surrounded by snow covered mountains on one side and barren mountains on the other side . It can also be seen in this clips. The high altitude, salt water, lake is situated at an altitude of 4350m (14,270 ft). The lake is huge, about 134km long and more than 80km of which lies in Tibet, China. There are many charming villages along the lake shore. Lukung, Spangmik, Maan, Merak and Kakset. The most beautiful of these is the Merak village. Source: Cox
