The poor visibility at early wintery morning in Delhi is due to heavy smog and fog. The rise in number of vehicles on the roads of Delhi has increased the levels of pollutants called particulate matter (PM) and oxides of nitrogen.Delhi was recorded as the most polluted city in 2016 primarily because of the thick blanket of smog that covered the city a day after Diwali. As the numbers of road accidents are increasing Indian goverment has taken various steps to prevent these accidents one such example is the electronic boards in different parts of Delhi which display different massages like "When visibility is lower, drive slower".
