The Chhatta Chowk behind the Lahori Gate of the Red Fort is back in action after the Coronavirus Pandemic lockdown. This market area was opened by the Mughal emperors for the women in their court. Now, this is a market area frequented by tourists visiting the Red Fort. Shops with glass panes selling trinkets, sparkly jewellery and metal artworks of gods and animals. Wooden carvings of Buddha, deities, animals are on display here. Notice the beautifully made ceilings with carvings fit for royalty.
