Aamir Abdullah, Director, School of Cinema, Asian School of Media Studies address the new students at Orientation program, he says, "As a Director of School of Cinema my piece of advice to you all as you embark on a new phase in your life is that if you want to be a filmmaker it's not that somebody gives you a camera and you can shoot a film, in order to be a filmmaker you have to be aware of your surroundings, you have to be aware of the issues that are surrounding you that's because a filmmaker gets his ideas from people, he gets his ideas from streets so my suggestion to you all would be read as much as you can because actually, you get your ideas from it's not that somebody give you a camera and you can shoot a film.
