On 4th of November 1948, Dr Ambedkar introduced a draft constitution in the assembly. Each article of the constitution was discussed threadbare and amended to meet the demands of the majority. The four members from Jammu & Kashmir headed by Prime Minister Sheikh Abdullah joined the constituent assembly in June 1949. It was proposed that a preamble should spell out the aims and objective of the constitution, many a suggestion will receive. Mr Subba Rao from Vijayawada wrote a new aim called prosperity may be included with a Sanskrit word. "May the children beget their children and their children beget grandchildren.
