Moraine and rubble at the snout of the Gangotri glacier at Gaumukh or Goumukh in the Gangotri national park. Once can see the first few waters of the Ganga / Ganges peeking out from below the glacier, with the pointed peak of one of the Bhagirathi peaks in the background. Gaumukh Glacier is located in Uttarkashi District, Uttarakhand, India in a region bordering China.
