Derek Malcolm says "Well I think certainly this festival is one of the most important in Asia and the fact that it shows a line of new Indian films and has competition for Asian films is very important because Asian films don't get out to the west, anything like as much as they should. A festival like this encourages them to do so, hence it is extremely important to do so in the Asian context. It's not like Cannes, Venice or something like that when masses of stars are in a big competition. So this is not like that but its very valuable for Asian cinema and that's what 's important about it." Derek Malcolm was born on May 12, 1932. He is an actor, known for Discovering Doris Day (2015), Video Nasties: Moral Panic, Censorship & Videotape (2010) and Stars of the Silver Screen (2011). Member
