This Yucca aloifolia or Yucca flower stands almost 6ft high, full of whitish colored flower. The stem covered with buds of flowers weighs almost around 4kgs. They are plants of dry regions but are adaptable enough to strive in the Himalayas and alongside a hot road-side in Delhi. The Yucca plant is now seen globally, in the second half of the monsoon season. Yucca aloifolia is the type species for the genus Yucca. Common names include "Spanish bayonet," "dagger plant," etc. It grows in sandy soils, especially on sand dunes along the coast. Yucca aloifolia is native to the Atlantic and Gulf Coasts of the US and Mexico from North Carolina to the Yucatán, and also to Bermuda. It can sometimes be found inland in sandy pine forests. It is also naturalized in Bahamas, Argentina, Uruguay, Italy,
