A flock of Cattle Egrets (Bubulcus ibis) forages for food in a newly tilled farm near a sugarcane field in Uttar Pradesh. The birds seem to be picking larvae and insects from the soft ground which a farmer has just tilled before planting his fresh crop. The population of Cattle Egret can be migratory or distributory in large numbers.
