On our recent food trail to Jama Masjid market, this Ramadan, we explored the bazaar streets over various kinds of gastronomical delights from chicken fry, curries and sweets to dates, dry fruit and pakodas. Watch, as we roam the narrow bylanes and cover the streets of Old Delhi and experience local Mughlai cuisine in the making, up close. We explore the busy streets of Matia Mahal only to stumble upon mouth-watering sweets, mostly milk based items like 'shaahi tukda', 'badam' or almond milk, 'kheer' or porridge, 'maawa jalebi', 'gulab jamun', varieties of 'pakodas' like 'aloo' (potato) pakoda, 'mirch' (chilly) pakoda, 'keema pakoda', 'keema samosa', 'pyaaz' or onion pakoda - which are mixed with gram flour and deep fried in oil.
