Amid a high altitude backdrop of stony desolation, this cute Marmot in Ladakh pops out of its stony home, amid heavy snowfall near Wari La Pass in the higher reaches of the Nubra division of Ladakh, en route Agham from Leh. With its front two teeth prominently showing and its whiskers twitching, the red lichens look sharp against the browns and greys of its immediate environs.
