Seen from a vantage point in Hari Village, the paddy fields with full grown crops are ready to be yielded for rice. Daily chores are underway at the fields for the tribal women in the Ziro valley. The harvesting season that has started marks the beginning of the festival calender for the Apatanis. Women are mostly seen in the fields harvesting the yield of the full grown paddy crops. The Apatani, or Tanii, are a tribal group of people living in the Ziro valley in the Lower Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh in India. However more Apatanis live outside this valley, making the total population approximately 60,000 all over the state.
