A breathtaking aerial view of the Kumbh Mela at the sacred Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, India. This extraordinary gathering is considered the largest spiritual congregation on Earth, where millions of Hindu pilgrims assemble to take a holy dip at the confluence of the Ganges River, Yamuna River, and the mythical Saraswati River. From above, the vast temporary city built for the festival becomes visible across the sandy floodplains. Several pontoon bridges stretch across the wide river channels, allowing pilgrims to move between different sectors of the massive camp. Thousands of devotees can be seen walking along the sandbanks, gathering near the water’s edge for ritual bathing.
