Vanda cristata (also known as Trudelia cristata) is a beautiful epiphytic orchid species native to the Himalayan region. It is commonly found growing on tree trunks and moss-covered branches in subtropical and temperate forests. The plant is admired for its delicate yet striking flowers, usually pale greenish to yellow with intricate markings and a distinct crested lip. Blooming typically occurs in spring to early summer, adding subtle elegance to forested mountain landscapes. This orchid thrives in cool, humid conditions with good air circulation and filtered light, making it well adapted to Himalayan ecosystems.
