A large Neem tree is reduced to logs, as a man sits on an upper crook of the tree trunk, and uses an electric saw to remove branches, one at a time, and drop them to the ground. A man reduces the branches to smaller size stumps at the foot of the tree. Road widening is taking a huge toll on mature trees in the new India, and no one seems to be planting enough of the right kinds of trees, to replace them!
