Janmashtam, also known as Krishna Janmashtami, is an annual Festival that is celebrated not only in India bu tby Hindus across the globe, to commemorate the birth of their deity Lord Krishna who, according to Hindu faith, is the eighth Avatar of Vishnu, one of the Gods of the Holy trinity of Hinduism. Krishna the 8th son of Princess Devaki and Vasudeva was from Mathura city in state of Uttar Pradesh. ISKON and Birla temple are the two temples in Delhi, where this festival is celebrated with great zeal and fervor. Devotees come in great numbers to the temple where the images and idols of lord Krishna are kept in cradles to depict his birth.The number of devotees swells as the time of the birth of Lord Krishna approaches.
