Singer Dechen Pem is one of the glorious artists in Bhutan. She started singing in 1994 and won various awards: award for Best Playback Singer (Female) at the 8th National Film Awards and best playback singer (Female) at the 1st viewers choice awards Like India has the great Lata Mangeshkar, Bhutan has Dechen Pem as an inspiring singing icon. She is multi-talented indeed, as you would see her producing films and she was one of the Judges of the singing competition, The voice of Bhutan along with Judge Kuenley Gyeltshen, The lead vocalist Pema Samdrup Some of her films are: Sergyel ( Bhutanese) Sem Gai Demtse( Bhutanese) Sem Hingi Sangtam( Bhutanese) You would also see Beautiful Talented Namgay Zam hosting the show speaking in many Languages like, English, Dzongkha and Hindi.
