Indian religious artwork being created for Durga Puja celebrations in New Delhi. Many colours are used to create a powder-paint-based artwork design on the ground - a sort of mandala. Meanwhile, a pujari uses sand and flowers to prepare the the puja ahead. Gaindha or marigold malas or garlands are placed around the statue like earthen pots on the ground, with coconuts. Rice is placed on the ground around them. Much drumming and festivity mark the Durga Puja celebrations in New Delhi. A rangoli is prepared on the ground.
