Emraan Hashmi: "It's got great music. The way we had tracks for a murder. Slightly off-beatish. The rest are situational tracks. Two very nice tracks. I think it has what it takes to make it big. Does not divert from the story. It was story-telling. Goes along with it. Very good tracks. When you have the audience liking songs in a film, pre-release, when they go out and buy the album, if they find the music appealing, it adds up to your film. They would want to go and see the film for that particular song. It gives the film a head-start, but it does not guarantee that it will be a super hit. Story-telling, music. They go hand in hand. In Murder, everything went hand in hand. Every department of the film excelled in its own way. Everything was new, it was novel." Emraan Hashmi on music of
