Amidst protests by supporters, Morarji Desai arrives at the residence of Rajiv Gandhi after Mr.Gandhi's assassination in 1991. Footwear of protesters strewn everywhere outside as a teargas shell casing is also seen amongst the footwear. Rajiv Gandhi's body arrives in Delhi draped in the National Flag. Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated by members of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) in a suicide bombing incident. The incident occurred in the state of Tamil Nadu where the then Prime Minister was on an election campaign for state elections in Southern India.
