Devotees of Lord Krishna gather inside the ISCKON Temple in Delhi to celebrate Janmashtami, the birthday of lord Krishna. Devotees offer pujas known as Krishna Aarti and celebrate the occasion with much pomp and zeal. Devotees offer their prayers and puja to the idols of Krishna and Rada as the priest and religious leaders sing devotional songs along with musical instruments. The devotees also act out instances from the life of Krishna according to the Hindu myth. The devotees are seen dancing and rejoicing during the occasion. Followers of Hinduism await this festival as the birth of Krishna is believed to bring a balance between good and evil.
