Lianda Folk and Classical Academy from Manipur put up religious dance 'Surya Pranam' during Sangai Festival in Manipur. Lianda folk and Classical Academy was established in the year 2000 under the collective leadership of young enthusiasts of Manipur. This Academy which had small beginning transformed itself during the course of a few years into an active and exciting performing group which created an impact on national cultural life. Surya Namaskara is a common sequence of asanas. Its origins lie in India where its large Hindu population worships Surya, the Hindu solar deity. This sequence of movements and asanas can be practised on varying levels of awareness, ranging from that of physical exercise in various styles, to a complete sadhana which incorporates asana, pranayama, mantra and c
