Allahabad Fort at Allahabad is located at Prayag (sangam of Ganges, Yamuna and mythical Saraswati). It was built by Emperor Ashoka but repaired by Emperor Akbar in 1583. One can also visit Khusro Bagh nearby. Khushro Bagh houses 3 magnificent Mughal era mausoleums and of course this fort which is supposedly the largest fort built by the great Mughal Emperor Akbar.
