Kolkata is a hub for Durga Puja for many Hindus across the country. A glimpse of Idols and images at Kumortuli preparing for Durga Puja in Calcutta can be seen. The name “Kumortuli” is derived from the Bengali word “Kumor” meaning a potter and “tuli” meaning locality. The making of the Durga idols always has been a lengthy and strenuous process.
