It takes a lot of heavy digging to get to the bottom of these mighty clumps of Agapanthus or Lily of the Nile. But we need to uproot them, divide them and re-plant them, to ensure their well-being and continued growth and flowering... The wildfilmsindia team plants Agapanthus Lilies after dividing them. Our Lilies of the Nile have grown manifold! After ten years in the ground, the bulbs or corms were old, tired, enormous and growing one on top of the other. So we decided to give them a new lease of life, divided each clump up, and planted them in neat rows in a large bed in our stream valley. Here, at 6800 feet altitude, they will receive ample sunshine and a daily sprinkle of water from our stream. And come monsoon season, we hope to have a bumper Agapanthus Lily flower crop!
