Gaur (Bos gaurus) also called the Indian bison, is the largest extant bovine that there is. They can be seen frolicking in the tea estates of the Nilgiris. Nilgiri is a range of mountains spread across the borders among the states of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala.
