Longer days in India and people seem to assume Corona will vanish. Quite a crowd at this bonfire in South Delhi. Maskless dancers circle around the bonfire with young and old, women, men and children participating in the festivities. We hope we all can celebrate the vanishing of Coronavirus like this in the sooner future. Lohri is a traditional winter folk festival celebrated in India by people specifically in the North zone. It is a festival of joy that commemorates the passing of the Winter Solstice and looks forward to longer days as the sun journeys towards the northern hemisphere. Lohri is primarily celebrated in the Punjab region of the Indian subcontinent by Sikhs and Hindus.
