The distant range is that of Shishapangma across the Tibetan plateau, while the closer peaks are Kanchenjunga on the Sikkim-India and Nepal border as well as Everest in Nepal, as one flies at 35, 000 feet altitude from east to west parallel to the high Himalaya.
