A Nashpati or Pyrus communis fruit laden in fruits with yellowish tint is ready to be harvested at our Wilderness Orchard in New Delhi. A hired hand is filmed plucking the organic fruits from the tall branches with a long wooden pole and a pouch like net bag attached at the end of the pole. This method of harvesting it is safe and does not damage the fruit. Nashpati is not commercially grown in India as of now but it has started to make its way into the market. It is sweet tasting and is believed to be a good source of different vitamins and minerals.
