Renowned singer Kailash Kher shares a candid and light-hearted conversation about hosting a party to celebrate one year of the Kailasa album. Kailasa is the debut album of the Indian Sufi–fusion band Kailasa, led by Kailash Kher, and was released in 2006 in India. The album marked a major milestone in Indian independent music and continues to be celebrated for its soulful sound. In this interview, Kailash Kher explains that there was a special reason behind organising the party. As the album completed one successful year, a close friend insisted that such a happy moment deserved a celebration. Kailash humorously adds that his friend felt he was becoming an “old-style” person, repeating the same words and songs, and therefore decided that a party would be the best way to mark the occasion.
