The jugaad seen here is essentially an agricultural generator turned into a vehicle engine to pull a cart. Even as a range of private car brands have entered the Indian market, the humble green and yellow painted auto rickshaw, chooch, auto or tuk-tuk still has pride of place and dominates the public-private taxi-cab transport scene, especially in a city like New Delhi. Even the odd jugaad tractor (generator engine pulling a basic cart) pulls in to New Delhi from time to time, even as APP sponsored paid volunteers stand around with 'Yudh - Pradushan ke virudh' placards to create air pollution awareness and have drivers switch off their engines while idling at traffic lights.
