With rain clouds hovering in the background the Surajkund venue for the Congress trainers training camp looked picturesque dramatic. It was here in 1993 that the Congress held it's AICC session and it was not that session that the Congress President Mr. P. V. Narasimha Rao had consolidated his hold on the party but since then the party had suffered a series of electoral setbacks in the assembly elections. Nevertheless, as senior congressman gathered to attend the inaugural session in Surajkund this week there was a quiet optimism being displayed on the party's future.
