At the NIM's field station of Tekhla in Uttarakashi, Adventure Course students learn about the basics of ironmongery for rock climbing. They are taught about the basics of bouldering and what responsibilities the lead climber has. Basic rope work, knots, belaying and other simple techniques are taught to the young trainees. Here, a junior instructor (Jamuna Kaintola?) demonstrates the same to the students.
