At the time of dusk in the month of Ramzan, the Jama Masjid is beautifully illuminated, providing the perfect, picturesque backdrop with its lit minarets and domes. The sound of Azaan travels through the air, to the eager worshippers awaiting the end of their fast. They then travel through the hustle and bustle to partake in the glorious, flavorful foods of iftaar. A walk through Old Delhi during this time will show you the coming together of culture and food to create a truly memorable evening where you can witness the breaking of the fast at dusk-time, Iftar. Ramzan is the most important and auspicious month for the Muslims. They fast from dawn to dusk, only consuming two meals a day, one before dawn, Suhoor, and one at dusk, known as Iftar.
