Chapcharkut celebration 2012 : Musical extravanganza from north-east India's Mizoram state.... Chapchar Kut, also known as the spring festival of Mizoram, India is the most popular and major festival of the Mizos and perhaps the biggest and most successful outdoor event in Mizoram. It is celebrated annually in Aizawl, the capital city and hub of Mizoram. The tradition of celebrating Chapchar Kut evolved between 1450 -1600 A.D, also making it the oldest festival of Mizoram. Chapchar Kut is celebrated in the month of March. This year it was held at the Assam Rifles ground in Aizawl on the 2nd of March, 2012. This Chapchar Kut kicks off with the arrival of guests.
