A devotee talks about the old Mahakal Mandir associated with Baba Balak Nath in Hamirpur. He says the temple is around 400–500 years old and had not been properly maintained for a long period. According to him, the structure weakened over time due to weather conditions including strong winds and rain. He says efforts to improve the condition of the site have been underway in recent years with support from pilgrims and Mahant Rajinder Giri Ji.
