Shankh or conch shells are sounded as pilgrims stream in to the hill-top and save shrine in Himachal Pradesh. Devotees bow and touch the ground to pay obeisance to the man seated on the throne, King or god like. Man sits on throne while devotees bow and prostrate on the ground before him. Is he the venerated authority or chosen one of the presiding deity or godman? Pilgrims stream in for prayers at the darshan hall. Chapatis are prepared in bulk, for devotees. LPG gas cylinders at work in the kitchens of Baba Balak Nath mandir in Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh. Chapatis or rotis are patted back and forth to flatten them out, and they are then placed on the hot surface of a flat pan on the fire. A jharoo or sweeping device is used to clean the surface of the pan. Pots and cooking pans are lined
