The Lorax is a theatrical adaptation of a popular children's story by Dr. Seuss was an American writer, poet, and cartoonist who captured the imagination of children worldwide with his books. The Lorax is the story of an environmental crusader who cares for the planet and speaks against the commodification of natural resources. More than 60 talented children ages 7 to 17 unveil a story of the adventures and triumphs of the Lorax. The Lorax is being presented as a part of the fourth Annual Pagdandi Festival. Swechha , a Delhi based, youth-run and youth-focused NGO, engaged in environmental and social developmental issues, initiated Pagdandi (meaning "side walk") in 2009 as an alternative non-formal learning space for the children of Jagdamba Camp, a slum community in South Delhi.
