At the vibrant Surajkund International Crafts Mela near New Delhi, the Apuk-Lith Cultural Group brought the spirit of South Sudan to life through a powerful display of music, movement, and traditional identity. Representing the Shilluk (Collo) community, the performers showcased rhythmic dance patterns rooted in ancestral storytelling and ceremonial expression. Dressed in striking blue wraps symbolic of Shilluk heritage, the male performers wore white Kofia caps and carried traditional beaded staffs, reflecting leadership and cultural pride. In the background, women adorned in Mushanana—an elegant ceremonial dress common in parts of East Africa—added color and depth to the presentation. The performance highlighted the global essence of Surajkund Mela, where cultures converge beyond borders
