People walking on the roads of Jaipur near Ajmeri gate. One can see a busy traffics..... The old city of Jaipur continues to preserve the original 18th century walls built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. These walls are pierced by seven fortress-like gates, through which the major thoroughfares run. They are mostly decorated with Indian-style floral motifs and contain an image of a deity above the main archway. Attached are photos of the following gates: Ajmeri Gate, New Gate, Zorawar Singh Gate and Sanganeri Gate.
