Busy street scene in Jaipur. One can see the Ajmeri Gate were people are busy walking down and vehicles are passing by..... The old city of Jaipur continues to preserve the original 18th century walls built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. These walls are pierced by seven fortress-like gates, through which the major thoroughfares run. They are mostly decorated with Indian-style floral motifs and contain an image of a deity above the main archway. Attached are photos of the following gates: Ajmeri Gate, New Gate, Zorawar Singh Gate and Sanganeri Gate.
