Acraea issoria is the Latin name of the Yellow Coster which is a locally common butterfly, from Himachal Pradesh in the west to Arunachal Pradesh in the east, and in the Nepal, Bhutan and Myanmar region. It likes to inhabit open and scrub country and hangs around at the edges of forest-land. It usually on the wing from March to December, between 700 and 2,400 metres. It flies slowly and flutters, It often settles on leaves and flowers.
