Two months of lockdown and Delhites are getting itchy for daaru. The partial relaxation on lockdown and minimal movement restored, the biggest celebration is opening of liquor shops. This wine shop in Delhi is seeing a long line of men waiting for their turns to get their hands on some Daaru. With liquor being the priority, caution has gone to the drain, social distancing is definitely ignored even though there are frontline workers, policemen trying to regulate the movement of people. Half of the men do not have proper masks. The piece of cloth or mask looks like accessories for the chin. We would like to believe that most of these men like many on the streets in India are immune to contracting coronavirus through their nose.
