The sudden lockdown saw thousands lose their jobs and students were stranded without proper accommodation since hostels and universities were also closing down. This created panic among thousands of less privileged migrant workers and students. In order to lend a helping hand, a number of governmental as well as NGOs have been invested in distributing basic essentials and cooked meals to the migrants. This is one such initiative by Ropiant Foundation Trust and a number of students and migrant workers can be seen collecting their share of dry ration and other essential items.
