A land of never-ending mountain ranges aching to touch the sky and bottomless depths of the valley transports us to dreamland. Kashmir, where the lush green meadows that provide a velvety cover to the valley, the stray fluttering of a lone bird breaking the serenity of the placid lake is situated in the extreme north of India. Kashmir can be best described as the land steeped in the vibrant ethnicity of India. The silent mountains in Kashmir have borne testimony to the mythical era of Mahabharata, the bravery of Ashoka, teachings and sermons of Buddha and the grandeur of the Sultans. Kashmir became a part of India during the historic freedom struggle under the leadership of Sheikh Abdullah. Since then Kashmir has attracted tourists from the world over. A visit to Kashmir remains incomplete
