A vibrant scene from Dola Purnima, also known as Dola Jatra, Doul Utsav, or Deul, captures the devotional spirit of this major Hindu festival celebrated in Odisha. The central ritual features beautifully adorned idols of Shri Radha and Shri Krishna placed on an ornate palanquin called the Dola Biman. Decorated with flowers, fabrics, and traditional motifs, the palanquin becomes the focal point of the celebration. Devotees carry the Dola Biman in a grand procession through towns and villages. The gentle back-and-forth swaying motion symbolises the playful divine movements of Radha and Krishna. Celebrated during the Shukla Paksha of the Falguna month, the festival often coincides with Holi, adding splashes of colour and joy to the occasion. Participants sing kirtans, chant devotional hymns,
