Giving views of the Nun Kun peaks and evidence of the formation of the Zanskar range from sediment layers from the ocean, Rangdum is a great buffer between the Suru and the Zanskar valleys. It is the perfect place to get the best of both worlds, i.e., Suru valley and Zanskar. By October, the grasslands of Rangdum dry up in the cold and complement the rugged and barren landscape around.
